Not your typical massage
Oscar doesn't just massage where it hurts. He figures out why it hurts. That shoulder pain might actually trace back to how you sleep. Your lower back problems could be coming from tight hip flexors after years at a desk. He reads these patterns and builds each session around what your body actually needs that day.
Every session starts with a conversation. What's bothering you, what you've been doing, what your goals are. From there it's deep tissue work to release chronic tension, sports massage techniques to improve mobility, and stretching where it matters. The pressure is firm enough to make real changes, but Oscar adjusts to what you can handle.
You'll leave knowing what he found, what he worked on, and what you can do between sessions to keep improving. Oscar started massage school at 17, has been practicing for over 15 years, and built Verdure from a single room in Berkeley to a multi-therapist practice on Solano Ave. The credentials are there. But what keeps people coming back is that the work actually helps.
Built for people who use their bodies
Runners & endurance athletes
The biggest group at Verdure. Marathon and ultramarathon runners, half marathoners, triathletes, and cyclists come in for targeted work on calves, hamstrings, IT bands, hips, and plantar fascia. Oscar builds sessions around training schedules and race timelines.
Competitive athletes
Olympic swimmers, weightlifters, soccer players, tennis players, and more. Oscar works with athletes who need strategic bodywork that fits their sport, their season, and their recovery demands.
Desk workers & tech professionals
Neck, upper back, and shoulders are the most common complaints at Verdure. Oscar is particularly good at reversing the postural damage that comes from years of screen time, helping people move better even if their day job won't change.
Chronic pain & injury recovery
People who've tried everything else. Old injuries, persistent tension, limited range of motion. Oscar's systematic approach to pain patterns often gets results where other treatments haven't.
The work speaks for itself
