Earlier this summer, Verdure Onsite Massage partnered with Databricks to provide chair massage services at their Data + AI Summit at San Francisco's Moscone Center. Over three days, our team delivered more than 300 therapeutic chair massages to conference attendees inside a dedicated Wellness Lounge.
Creating a Wellness Experience at Scale
Our setup included:
4 massage chairs operating simultaneously throughout the event
8 CAMTC-certified massage therapists providing consistent, quality service
1 dedicated coordinator managing scheduling and operations
QR code booking system integrated with our Acuity-based scheduler
AI-powered recovery tool offering personalized foam rolling recommendations post-massage
From morning sessions through evening networking, the Wellness Lounge maintained steady traffic with fully booked appointment slots. This showed us that attendees truly valued having a space to decompress during the intense conference schedule.
Seamless Operations Through Smart Planning
Success at this scale required detailed coordination. We worked closely with the event production team to ensure smooth logistics throughout the event.
Our booking system proved particularly effective. Attendees could scan QR codes placed throughout the venue to book their sessions in real time, receiving automated reminders to ensure they didn't miss their appointment amid busy conference schedules.
The optional AI-powered follow-up was well received by the tech-savvy audience, with many attendees opting in to receive customized recovery recommendations based on their specific areas of tension.
