Athlete Spotlight: Kevin Wang

Introducing the Athlete Spotlight brought to you by Verdure Sports Massage. As a part of the fitness, wellness, and health community, Verdure Sports Massage would like to highlight some of our amazing local athletes in a series of videos, photos, and newsletters.

Our first athlete is Kevin Wang, a former collegiate tennis player at MIT. I had the pleasure of interviewing him about his sport and how he incorporates sports massage into his regimen. I also had the opportunity to film him in action. Read below for more!

TENNIS

Kevin has been a tennis player for 15 years. He got into the sport by way of following his older brother into it and found his lifetime sport ever since! Kevin played in national tournaments for juniors in high school and also played for MIT in college. His goals in tennis are to stay healthy, remain fit, and keep up the lifetime sport.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Kevin incorporates sports massage as part of his recovery regimen the same way he incorporates stretching. For him, it is a key part of the cycle of getting stronger and getting better. His sports massages help him with mobility and range of motion of the upper body which is especially important in tennis.
